Learn More About MRM

At Mississippi River Ministry, our goal is to get the community involved in the region’s churches, evangelize, and help serve others, including children and families in need. We have been doing so for 25 years. Through prayer, volunteers, and mission trips, we’re able to help others and spread the love of God and the Gospel. Some of our hands-on missions include backyard Bible study, light construction and home repairs, vacation Bible school, worship service, work with the homeless, and much more.

We help organize and plan one-day mission trips, as well as weekend and week-long mission trips. One of our most renowned mission opportunities is the annual Christmas Backpacks for children. Churches and organizations supply the backpacks filled with items such as food, school supplies, clothing and hygiene products which are then distributed to ministries for children in need of food, clothes and daily essentials. We then deliver the backpacks to the ministries for children in need of food, clothes, and daily essentials. In 2017, more than 9,500 backpacks were filled and given away to children on the Mississippi River Delta.
