Mississippi River Ministry is a southern Baptist ministry that focuses on helping feed and clothe children and families throughout the region. We are a partnership of the area’s eight state conventions, which include Arkansas, Illinois, Iowa, Kentucky, Louisiana, Missouri, Mississippi, and Tennessee. We provide ministries, evangelize, strive to start new churches in 220 counties and parishes of the MRM region (third world along the Mississippi), get the community involved, and strengthen the existence of new churches.
The MRM strives to fight against poverty. With statistics like: 1 out of 5 people in the Delta Region (Mississippi River) live in poverty; 1 out of 4 children go to bed hungry each night; young mothers struggle to provide the essential needs for their babies; and more than half the people in the area are un-churched.
OUR MAIN GOALS ARE TO IMPACT THE RIVER DELTA FOR CHRIST AND TO HELP PEOPLE OUT OF POVERTY
